Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO)

Since May 2006, Barbara Fiorito has been chairing the Board of Directors of Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO). Previously, Barbara served on Oxfam America’s Board from 1992 and as Chair of the Board as well as Deputy Chair of Oxfam International from 2000-2005. Her work and vision helped transform Oxfam America from a small, grants-based NGO into an influential campaigning and advocacy organization with global outreach.

Besides her experience in the work of non-governmental organizations, between 1964 and 1992 Barbara Fiorito also held executive positions in the private sector, financial services and securities management firms respectively. She had a long career at the Chemical Banking Corporation (now JP Morgan Chase Banking), holding senior posts in the Trust & Investment Bank and Metropolitan Banking Division. During this time, she founded the innovative ‘Not-for-Profit Group,’ which specialized in academic, healthcare, religious, arts and cultural institutions, foundations as well as civic and social service institutions, and unions. In the 1970’s she developed a “Streetbanker” program which was used as a model by financial institutions seeking to stimulate small business opportunities in underdeveloped urban areas. On leave from Chemical Bank from 1968 to 1970, she served in the US Peace Corps in Manila as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Labor for Manpower Development.  She has also travelled extensively to developing countries in recent years, including Mozambique, South Africa, Mexico, Ethiopia, Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bangladesh.

John Hanke is Director of Product Management at Google Maps, Local, and Earth. John's accomplished career in the world of interactive software has allowed him to pursue advances in technology to pioneer new kinds of products. In the early days of the web, John was involved in the startup of one of the first massively multi-player online 3D games ("Meridian 59") which was acquired by 3DO in 1996. He co-founded a second company, Big Network, to pursue "casual gaming" online; that company was acquired by eUniverse in 2000. John co-founded Keyhole in 2001 to create a new kind of global 3D map of the world. He forged partnerships with Sony, Nvidia, CNN and others as the company introduced its "earth browser" to the world. Keyhole was acquired by Google in October 2004, and in 2005, the Keyhole technology re-emerged as "Google Earth."

John received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 1996 and has a BA in Plan II from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, he worked in foreign affairs for the US Government in Washington, DC and Southeast Asia.

Henry Waszkowski

 
Treasury Performance Group

Henry Waszkowski is Managing Director of the Treasury Performance Group in Atlanta, Georgia where he assists corporations, governmental and not-for-profit entities in maximizing the effectiveness of Treasury and related functions. Typical projects involve Treasury strategy, structure and organization and address bank relationship management, bank selection, and Treasury technology selection, implementation and project management. Previously Mr. Waszkowski was Senior Vice President and manager of Wachovia’s Treasury & Financial Consulting unit where he had overall responsibility for Wachovia’s consulting practice and oversaw more than 350 client projects in Treasury Operations, Working Capital Management, eCommerce and automation. In that role he also created a treasury outsourcing business which administered daily Treasury activities for client companies. Mr. Waszkowski’s earlier experience at Wachovia included Management of Treasury Services product management where he was responsible for development of industry leading information reporting and electronic payment services.

Mr. Waszkowski received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his master’s degree in Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a permanent Certified Cash Manager.

Stephen Sellers

Steve Sellers has over 20 years of experience in the for-profit, non-profit and governmental sectors, with over 12 years spent starting and building companies. Prior to co-founding SourceTrace he worked as the COO at TransFair USA, the sole certifier of Fair Trade products in the US. During his four-and-a-half years there, the organization grew ten-fold in revenue and quadrupled in staffing. Prior to joining TransFair he worked as Vice President for Business Affairs for eUniverse, an online entertainment network (NASD:EUNI; later Intermix Media, AMX:EMX). He was a Co-Founder and CEO of The Big Network, a family-oriented online entertainment and community hub. Sellers also co-founded Archetype Interactive, a company that created the first graphical, web-based multi-player game. After its acquisition he worked as Director of Business Affairs for the 3DO Company (NASD:THDO). Before going into business, Sellers served as a Political Officer for the US State Department for seven years, with postings in Nigeria, Austria, the Middle East and Washington, DC. Sellers holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelors Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Stanford University.

Dr. Sandeep Chatterjee

Dr. Sandeep Chatterjee is in charge of SourceTraces engineering and platform development. A seasoned technology expert and business professional, Chatterjee has over a decade of contributions as a thought leader, technologist, consultant, entrepreneur, and author. Chatterjee has also consulted with for Fortune-100 companies, such as Hewlett-Packard, as well as major not-for-profit organizations, such as ACCION International. Chatterjee is co-author of "Developing Enterprise Web Services: An Architect's Guide", a book by Prentice Hall, as well as a columnist for mobile and enterprise software systems for a number of leading IT magazines. Previously, Chatterjee was part of the Expert Group that specified the worldwide standard for mobile Web services. He also served as the lead and chief architect of Hewlett-Packard's Web Services Mediation Platform. Chatterjee earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where his research in networked client architectures and systems was selected as one of the top thirty-five inventions in the thirty-five year history of MIT's Laboratory for Computer Science, and his invention is showcased in a time capsule at the Museum of Science in Boston, Massachusetts.
