Job Description:
SourceTrace Systems (STS) is the leading independent provider of remote transaction solutions for financial service, agriculture, healthcare and microinsurance organizations operating in emerging markets. We are looking for experienced Web developers to join our highly talented and committed team.

The successful candidate must be capable of working independently, as well as with a team, to develop HTML5 based web applications. This engineer should also be flexible and willing to work using various development environments and tools as the need arises (e.g. JAVA/PHP/MySQL, etc.). This role involves working with project management, the lead architect, and other engineers within the team as well as those in partner organizations, marketing, quality, and operations to design and implement new capabilities.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Work with experience designers and our marketing team to refine their proposals based on technical feasibility.
• Create new web applications using web application frameworks in Javascript.
• Collaborate with engineers on several partner teams to define APIs and an interaction model based on optimum performance and stability.
• Develop new mobile website pages and functionality, deliver enhancements to an existing website, and fix defects, using Javascript/CSS/SQL and corresponding Javascript frameworks (JQuery, JQuery.Mobile, Phonegap, etc.).
• Produce high quality production software using industry best practices.
• Provide technical support, documentation and guidance for post release, production systems.

Job Qualifications:

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience with Web application design and deployment, CSS2+, XHTML, JQuery, PHP and MySQL.
• Familiarity with HTML5 and Mobile JavaScript based frameworks such as Jquery.Mobile and Phonegap.
• Familiarity with MVC architecture.
• Ability to work well in a team environment interacting with developers across multiple interdependent teams, program managers, user experience designers, product marketing, etc.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints with dynamic requirements.
• Ability to resolve complex algorithms.
• Proven track record of delivering high quality and thorough design documents and code.
• Ability to read and write technical documentation and emails in English (read/write).

Desired experience and skills:

It is a plus if the candidate has previous experience on:

• User interfaces - XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery.
• Familiarity with Jquery.Mobile and multi-resolution mobile web development.
• Familiarity with RESTful/Ajax interfaces
